In accordance with Arkansas state law, the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District will implement the "Bell to Bell, No Cell" policy beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
This policy prohibits the use of personal electronic devices during instructional time for all grade levels, in order to maintain a productive, respectful, and safe learning environment across all JNPSD campuses.
Prohibited personal electronic devices include, but are not limited to:
Cell phones
Smart watches
Wireless earbuds or Bluetooth-enabled headphones
Tablets, laptops, or notebook computers
Digital media players and portable gaming consoles
Pagers/beepers
Any device capable of transmitting data via Bluetooth or mobile network
Exemptions to this policy include:
Devices issued by JNPSD for instructional use
Personal electronic devices required for health-related reasons
Devices specified in a student's IEP or 504 plan (as of January 1, 2025)
Students enrolled in concurrent credit courses that require two-factor authentication to access coursework
Emergencies that pose immediate danger, such as fires, natural disasters, medical emergencies, or active threats
