Jacksonville High School Varsity Cheer Squad Shines at UCA Cheer Camp
The Jacksonville High School Varsity Cheer Squad returned from UCA Cheer Camp, held July 9â11, with new skills, lasting memories, and an impressive collection of awards.
During the three-day camp, the team experienced college life by staying in dorms, eating meals on campus, and participating in an intensive schedule of cheer classes and training. The experience challenged the athletes both physically and mentally while strengthening the bonds they share as teammates.
Throughout camp, the squad faced long practices, early mornings, and moments of frustration, but they met every challenge with perseverance, teamwork, and determination. Those experiences helped the athletes grow not only as cheerleaders but also as leaders and supporters of one another.
The team earned several prestigious honors, including three Superior Trophies for their Camp Routine, Sideline Evaluation, and Cheer Evaluation, as well as an Excellent Band Chant Recognition and the coveted Legendary Spirit Banana.
While the awards are a testament to the team's hard work and dedication, the greatest accomplishment was the personal and team growth displayed throughout the camp. The athletes learned to encourage one another, embrace constructive feedback, celebrate successes, and overcome obstacles together.
Jacksonville High School is proud of the Varsity Cheer Squad and looks forward to an exciting season as they bring their newfound skills, confidence, and Titan pride back to campus.
