Jacksonville North Pulaski School District

The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce will award two (2) $500.00 scholarships to two high school seniors who meet the following eligibility requirements.

Requirements
● High School Senior with a verified primary address within the city of Jacksonville, Arkansas
● The Senior may attend JNPSD schools, Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter, or another Jacksonville accredited academic school
● The Senior may be homeschooled or attend one of the public virtual schools authorized by the Arkansas Department of Education
● The Senior must have a high school GPA of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale through the final
semester of their senior year.

Application Procedure
● Eligible Seniors must submit to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce the following:
○ A completed Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Application
○ 200-word essay explaining “What you love about Jacksonville and what changes you
would like to see”
○ Unofficial transcript showing the required GPA
● All applications must be submitted by May 5, 2023

Selection Process
● All information submitted will be handed over to the Jacksonville Chamber Education Committee for a final evaluation where two (2) winners will be selected.

Notification of Winners
● Scholarship recipients will receive notification from the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and will be presented a scholarship award certificate.

Disbursement of Funds
● Each scholarship awarded shall be a total of $500 payable as follows:
○ A check in the amount to be paid to the college or vocational/technical school after
recipient provides registration documentation and mailing address
● Failure to notify the Chamber with the required information by the beginning of the semester of attendance will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.

Other Information
● The Scholarship must be used by the recipient to attend on a full time basis at an Arkansas
Accredited institute of higher learning
