Due to the threat of inclement weather, JMS will be closed to onsite instruction on Friday, February 12th. Tomorrow will be considered a “virtual learning day” for scholars. Scholars will need to log into Google Classroom to complete their daily assignments. Teachers will be available to offer assistance through Google Meet and email.
Due to the threat of inclement weather, all JNPSD schools will be closed to onsite instruction on Thursday, February 11th. Tomorrow will be considered a “virtual learning day” for all scholars. Students are being sent home with Chromebooks and chargers. On Thursday, scholars will log in to Google Classroom to complete their daily assignments. Teachers will be available to offer assistance through email, Google Meet, Class Dojo and other district-related digital platforms.
District leaders will notify parents late Thursday afternoon regarding school status for Friday. Parents will receive updates through phone calls, text messages and emails. Parents can also check for updates on the district’s website, www.jnpsd.org as well as social media.

Scholars can buy Candy Grams for a friend for $1. They will be sold during lunch in the cafeteria on Tuesday, February 9 and Wednesday, February 10. They will be delivered Friday, February 12.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held virtually next Tuesday, February 9th from 4:15-7:15 p.m. JMS will conduct conferences using appointments. Guardians will receive an email from their scholar's first period teacher requesting appointment times.

Starting on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Jacksonville Middle School virtual scholars will be required to attend their classroom Google Meets during the scheduled class time. Attendance will be taken at the time of the class period, so if the scholar is not on the Google Meet, he or she will be marked absent.
Jacksonville Middle School will have an Awards Assembly for the 2nd Nine Weeks All A's and Honor Roll on Friday, January 22, 2021. The Awards Assembly will be aired on Facebook Live on Jacksonville Middle School Titans Facebook page. 6th Grade will be during 6th period at 1:31 p.m., 7th Grade will be during 7th period at 2:19 p.m., and 8th Grade will be during 8th period at 3:07 p.m. Virtual students who receive certificates may pick them up at the school.
The 8th grade girl's basketball game scheduled for tomorrow (1/21) at Watson Chapel has been cancelled. The 9th grade boys game has been moved to Watson Chapel.
