Parents of current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students,
Please make sure your student has completed and returned the course selection sheet they were given. This form is essential in helping us schedule classes that match your child’s interests and preferences.
If the form is not returned by this Friday, March 6, students will be placed in classes based on availability, and we cannot guarantee placement in preferred courses.
If you have not seen the form or need an additional copy, please contact the counselor at your child’s school as soon as possible. JMS is excited to begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year!

Mr. Miller's science class experimented with bungee jumping Barbies today!
The scholars were able to experience a change in energy, potential to kinetic energy. While they saw the energy transfer, they also had to take several factors into consideration including the gravitational potential energy, the mass and height of the Barbie, the elasticity of the rubber bands being used, and the distance from the rail of the 2nd floor to the bottom floor. With this being the first trial, they now have to use the data they collected to modify their approach to get better results for the 2nd trial.
