Here is the 2026-2027 Pre-K Parent District Calendar. The first day of school will be Thurs. Aug. 13, 2026. The last day of school will be Thurs. May 27, 2027. We have three great preschool programs at Adkins Pre-K, Bayou Meto Elementary and Lester Elementary. Registration for the fall will open on Monday, Feb. 16. • Adults Only: To keep things organized, we cannot accommodate siblings or additional children.

Monday, February 16 will be a regular school day for scholars.
Due to winter weather, the STEAM Academy Parent Information Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 17, 5:00–6:00 PM at JMS Cafeteria. This meeting is for current 5th grade scholars and families to learn about the JMS STEAM Academy for next school year.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all JNPSD schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. We encourage our families to take this day to reflect, serve, and honor Dr. King’s legacy.

Hello Titan Family: 3-5 Mid Year Testing is occurring the January 12-16. Tests will take place from 8:00-10:30. Scholars need to be on time to eat breakfast, and get settled so they can start on time. Please hold checkouts until after these times so scholars can complete tests. Please encourage your scholars to do their best!

If your scholar rides bus 77, transportation has adjusted stop times, and some scholars are now routed to another bus. Please check with your scholar for a letter sent home with them today with updated bus information or contact JNP transportation with questions.
Tomorrow is Wear Red Tops as we celebrate the end of Red Ribbon Week. Please remember that costumes are not allowed, we hope to see all our scholars in their red!
