  • It’s been said that a child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark. The role of educating students is taken very seriously at JNPSD and we appreciate you trusting your students with us.

This is an exciting time to be a Titan! We have new buildings opening and under construction. The all-new Bobby G. Lester Elementary School opens in the fall of 2018, providing students and faculty with a state-of-the-art active learning environment. Construction is underway on the new Jacksonville High School, which will open its doors in August 2019. At the completion of this project, we will have one of the most advanced and beautiful high schools in the state of Arkansas. Two multipurpose buildings were constructed, one at Murrell Taylor and one at Bayou Meto Elementary. These allow more assembly and classroom space for our students. JNPSD is committed to better facilities for our students to learn and grown in exceptional spaces.

Great educators and curriculum are important cornerstones to student success. Our teachers and staff are some of the best the state has to offer! Each staff member is behind our vision to be…”the model district where every learner is valued and empowered to become a successful, contributing member of society.” We are investing in training for our staff in new curriculum offerings for our students from PreK through High School. The 2018/19 school year will see new career pathways for our high school students that include a grant supported Cyber Security Program that is the first of its kind in the state. Our Middle and High School students will each have a chromebook assigned to them to use at home and school and elementary classrooms will have chromebooks in each classroom for students to use at school.

We are committed to working collaboratively with parents/guardians and our community to promote the importance of reading, math, science and critical thinking to ensure JNPSD remains a great place for students to gain a quality education. It is the goal of our District and community to grow and educate our leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our great district. My door is always open and I look forward to seeing you at our school activities.
